I’m taking a break from the photo story to talk about the upcoming change for Batgirl in October.
I didn’t think I was going to take to Babs getting out of the wheelchair and into her Batgirl costume but I did. The storylines got better and better. Reading about what DC is planning to do and seeing the new Batgirl costume, I really am not sure about the yellow Doctor Martens which I guess are more practical for crime fighting. Why doesn’t Babs just go out in a mask, leather jacket and pants? Do away with the cape, as in the real world, capes are pointless as explained in the Watchmen and the Incredibles.

The only change I'd make to the classic Yvonne Craig look would be to discard the cape (although I wouldn't be sorry to lose the hood and the silly red wig too, leaving her instead with boyishly short hair - Barbara Gordon-style - or tied back, and instead a purple eye-mask).
